Yo, Stop Collaborate and Listen..erm..Read! (The Woman in White)

So I have this thing that I like to do where I say things like, "Next month I won't join so many read-a-longs or schedule so many blog tours.." then join MANY read-a-longs and sign up for even MORE blog tours! It's a bit masochistic, but oh well it kind of gives me a book boner. So when I stumbled upon two things of interest...a blog named Reading Rambo (what is this name? it's amazeballs) and that said blog was also doing a read-a-long for a book that's been sitting on my shelf since forever started. The Woman In White. This poor book. I bought it many moons ago with the purest of intentions to read it immediately, but has since been moved from apartment to house to the single wide that I currently reside in, COMPLETELY UNREAD! Tragedy!

So when I stumbled upon this read-a-long I felt like it was a kick in my non-existent nuts to dust it off and start to read. And read I shall! Yes 2012 is the year of the funny named authors! Wilkie! Poor child, his parents must have had such a sense of humor. (I'm far too lazy to do a search to find out if this is his real name or not. I choose to believe it is, and and thusly smh at his parentals.)

Even though I have had this book in my possession for years, I still have no clue what it is about. A woman that likes to wear the color white..obviously. That is all. I know. So this should be fun. Click the button thingy up chere ^ if you want to join in.

  1. I like that basically everyone's like "Yeeeah, I don't know anything about this book, but I've been meaning to read it for forever." AND READ IT WE SHALL.

  2. Ditto to what Alice said above. I bought Woman in White last year when I still had my employee discount at Barnes and Noble, and have been slowly forgetting about it ever since.

All I knew about it was that it had ghosts in it, until Alice told me that it doesn't and we were all thinking of some other book. So now I've started it and have no idea where it's going.

BUT I am excited about reading it, and I'm also excited about discovering new blogs through this readalong!

  3. I never had any intention of reading this book until I started a reading challenge that demanded a book that revolves around a crime...enter THE WOMAN IN WHITE. *trumpets and confetti*

So I know there's a crime? At some point?

    Onward!

  4. Wilkie IS his real name. *shock* *gasp* *trauma*
You're a whole lot better prepared for this Readalong than I am, after all I thought good old Wilkie was a woman until I signed up.
Yeah, I know I'm a Philistine, but what kind of name is Wilkie?!

  5. I have no idea what this book is about (I don't think anyone in the readalong knows), and honestly, I thought Wilkie was like, a cute girl's name or something. Turns out, it's actually his real name.
